Cleaning the LED Head

When white streaks appear on prints, images are not printed, or characters are blurred, clean the LED head. A dirty LED head can also
result in paper jams.
Note
Do not use solvents such as methanol and paint thinner, because such chemicals can damage the LED head.
Do not expose the image drum unit to direct sunlight or strong light (approximately 1,500 lux or more). Even under room lighting,
do not leave the image drum for 5 minutes or more.

Turn the printer off by pressing and holding the power button.

Press the [OPEN] button.

Open the top cover.
Do not touch the fuser unit part, because it is very hot.

With a soft tissue paper or soft cloth, lightly wipe the whole LED head.
Note
Do not use solvents such as methanol and thinner, because such chemicals can damage the LED head.
Burns may result.
