Setting the Printer as the IPP Printer in a Mac OS X Environment

Add the printer to a computer as an IPP printer.

Insert the "Software DVD-ROM" into a computer, and then install the printer driver.

Select [System Preferences] from the Apple menu.

Click [Print & Scan].

Click [+].
5.
Click the [IP] tab.
6.
Select [IPP (Internet Printing Protocol)] from [Protocol].
7.
Enter the IP address of the printer in [Address].
8.
Enter "ipp/lp" in [Queue].
9.
Click [Add].
10.
Check that the printer is registered in [Print & Scan].

Performing IPP Print

The following procedure uses Notepad as an example. The descriptions may vary depending on your application.

Open a file to print.

Select [Print] from the [File] menu.

Select the created IPP printer from [Printer], and then click [Print].
