If an ASME CSD1 high water temperature
cut off is installed on the boiler supply (B-kit)
the following must be observed.
V The default setting of the BC10 boiler con-
trol is 5 minutes circulator pump post
purge. This setting may be increased but
not decreased.
V If the circulator pump is operated by an
external control a 5 minutes post purge
period must be ensured.
V Close off unused connections with ¾" NPT plugs and
seal.
V Install a blow-off pipe to the external side of the pres-
sure relief valve.
Caution: Risk of system damage due to in-
correct fitting.
V Make sure that the B-kit including pres-
sure relief valve and non-return check
valve is not omitted from the boiler flow VK
and correctly connected.
Do not fit the safety valve until the leak test
( Section 6.10 page 34) has been com-
pleted.
V Install the pressure relief valve vertically.
V Install the pressure relief valve in accor-
dance with the requirements of the ANSI/
ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code,
Section IV.
We recommend fitting a dirt filter (y-strainer,
available separately) externally to the boiler
return RK to prevent contamination of the
boiler by the water.
Observe the local regulations for connection
of boiler systems.
Danger: Risk of fire from flammable materi-
als or liquids.
V Do not store flammable materials or liq-
uids in the immediate vicinity of pipes that
carry hot water.
V Maintain a clearance of 2" from pipes car-
rying hot water.
