Setting a Base to Repeater Mode (Base Station Only)

When repeater mode is enabled at a base station, the base acts as a repeater in addition to performing its
normal base station functions. As a repeater, the base station receives incoming messages from remotes,
stores them and broadcasts them to all remotes within RF range. Remotes belonging to the same RF group
(with the same RF Group number) can communicate via the repeater. (See
76 for information about RF groups.) The following diagram expains the process.

When repeater mode is disabled (Repeater Mode = off), the base station functions normally (it polls remotes
and links the various segments of the network). By definition, Repeater Mode does not apply to units of RF
