Check the belts and tighteners status.

Check all the engine levels and verify that they are correct, verify the fuel level in the tank (use

only clean tank).
Turn ON the red button on ECU box and verify that all the LEDs are lighted.

Verify the command lever status and that it is in Neutral position.

Verify the oil level in the stern drive gearbox.

IMPORTANT! Compile the installation form in all parts with the installer and send it to the manufacturer after the first
engine start and boat test in the sea!
Verify the correct engine–propulsion alignment, if necessary grease the mechanical connections.

Start the engine, let the engine warm up for few minutes at minimum RPM.

-Carry out the engine electronic diagnosis. Take the reference data and correct any errors. The

reference data must be written on the installation form.
Verify for any leaks ,verify the sea water pump correct functioning, verify the flow of water on
16.
exhaust system, verify that all lights on instrument panel are OFF and no alarm buzzer is present
and verify the oil pressure, coolant temperature and battery charge status.
IMPORTANT! If you heard strange noise ,vibration or black smoke stop immediately the engine and refer to assistance
point .
Take the command of the boat.

The first time never exceed with the engine speed.

Verify that all persons are on board and then engage the gear.
19.
After the engine has been used for long periods at high speed, we advise you not to turn it off suddenly.
Instead, we advise you to let it operate at lower RPM for at least another two minutes in order to facilitate
gradual cooling of the stressed parts (turbine, etc..) avoiding any useless thermal stresses.

Long engine inactivity (prediction of extended storage)

If the engine remains inactive for a long period you need to protect from oxidation and freezing; follow the
instructions below:
