Discharge the sea water circuit by draining through the zinc anodes if the engine isn't utilized for a

long time and if exposed to high temperature.
Take care, avoid short-circuits. The short circuit can cause damage to people and engine parts.
Toxic and flammable vapors may be created in the battery compartment, aerate the battery
compartment. Take care, risk of fire.

Engine maintenance information (out of board before installation)

- If the engine is left unused for prolonged periods, check the possible preservation conditions in
relation to the storage area and the type of packaging.

- Check for the coolant (cooling circuit). The manufacturer sends the engine with an antifreeze
mixture that ensures a storage temperature of -20 °C.
ATTENTION! The sea water circuit could contain engine test room stand water. Drain completely the sea water circuit if
the storage temperature is lower than 0°C to prevent freezing.

Check for any incrustations and if necessary grease the turbocharger leverages after this period.
Follow the steps below before starting the engine for the first time.
Verify for the weather condition.

Check the fuel supply line and the presence of any leaks. Be careful to avoid sharp bends or
