CHAPTER 7 SERVICE MODE

A. Outline
The machine's service mode is grouped into the following:

Description
Display Mode
• Indicates the values controlled by the CPU, nature of con-
trol, and version number of the ROM.
I/O Display Mode
• Indicates the elements controlled by the CPU or the
input/output signals to and from options.
Adjustment Mode
• Indicates items adjusted in service mode and allows
changes to settings.
Function Mode
• Executes machine operations. Indicates items that may be
automatically adjusted through execution from the screen.
Settings Mode
• Indicates items that may be changed for machine mainte-
nance or items that may be changed to suit the needs of
the user.
Counter Mode
• Indicates the numbers of machine operations.
Options Mode
• Indicates items for options, allowing changes to the set-
tings.
Fax Service Mode
• Indicates items to be set/changed or operated for fax func-
tions from the screen.
