Checks
Clear the error using 'ERROR'
in service mode (*4*).
Let the fixing assembly to cool;
then, disconnect J50, and mea-
sure the resistance of the ther-
mistor. Is the reading as fol-
lows?
J50-1/-2(yellow line):about 0k
J50-3/-4 (white lien):about 0 k
Replace the fixing heater dri-
ver. Is the problem corrected?
Checks
Clear the error using 'ERROR'
in service mode (*4*). Is any of
the following correct after the
machine has booted?
• The fixing heater does not
turn ON.
• 'E000' is indicated.
Is the wiring from the connector
J108 on the DC controller PCB
to the thermistor normal?
Replace the DC controller
PCB. Is the problem corrected?
Yes/No
YES Replace the fixing assembly.
YES End.
YES Replace the DC controller.
Yes/No
YES See the appropriate section.
NO Arrange the wiring correctly.
YES End.
NO Replace the fixing heater dri-
ver.
