Insert two new size C batteries, matching the

positive (+) end of each battery with the +
signs inside the battery compartment.
NOTE
The battery life depends on how quickly the
bedside unit is powered off after each test.
Under optimal conditions—using the barcode
scanner to enter information and turning off
the bedside unit immediately after test results
are displayed and recorded—you can expect
approximately 1000 tests.
Replace the battery compartment door and

tighten the screw.
Turn on the unit to verify the power.
