Installing a Multimedia Device
The multimedia device can be any slim type CD-ROM, CD-RW, DVD-ROM, or
DVD-RW drive.
1.
First, remove the Keytop as instructed in Section 3.1.2.
2.
Then, remove the blanking plate from the left side of the Keytop by pushing in
the center to pop it out of the notches on the side.
3.
Lining up the device door flush with the opening in the left side of the Keytop,
install the device with the two Phillips screws provided.
4.
Attach the 44-wire ribbon cable to the IDE1 connector on the left front of the
Motherboard.
5.
The Plug and Play BIOS will auto detect the device without any software
configuration.
