To conclude the position light installation,
the cover is secured in place with canopy
glue.

2. Horizontal Stabilizer

The horizontal stabilizer comes in a near-finished state, requiring only fitting and securing of
the aluminium hinge-pin, and mounting the elevator servo.
2.1. Servo Installation – Horizontal Stabilizer

The shape of the position light cover dictates the shape of
the baseplate that the lamps are attached to (some
covers are simple teardrop shaped).

The baseplate is then glued to the tank using
CA or Epoxy.
Attention:
The brass eyelets must be inserted in the
servo grommets with the wide base toward
the servo mount. This is to prevent the eyelet
from digging into the wood when the servo is
tightened down.
The servo is mounted into the root of the
horizontal stab – essentially upside-down.
This means that the brass eyelets must be
inserted with the wide base toward the top of
the servo.
