In the example above, 142 licenses, 10 stations in the largest paging
group, the allocation would be:
[(142)-(10)] divided by 2 = 66 Media Server Conference
(142) - (66) = 76 Media Server Generic
Use the following steps to set the Media Server license allocation.
1. Select Administration > Enterprise > Component Services.
2. Select the Media Server then, click on the Edit button.
3. In the Media Server section enter the number of channels to be used
for Media Server Conferences.
4. Enter the number of channels reserved for Media Server Generic
functions.
5. Click on the Save icon.
After the system has been running for a few days the system
administrator should check the traffic logs to see if adjustments to the
number of Media Server channels is needed.
1. Select Application > Webmin.
2. In the Webmin screen select System > Bootup and Shutdown.
3. Check-mark the Media Server.
4. Click on the Restart button.
Repeat this setup for each IPedge server.
The IPedge server has an embedded Baseboard Management Controller
(BMC). This controller provides remote hardware monitoring and remote
access/console via IPMI. Refer to
information. This BMC LAN port is a 100 MB connection.
Assign an IP address to the BMC LAN adapter. This is not the eth0 or
eth1 NIC connectors. Refer to
location of the IPMI/BMC connector. The IPMI/BMC defaults are:
IP Address: 192.168.254.251, Subnet: 255.255.255.0, Gateway:
192.168.254.1. The default User name and password is: ADMIN.
1. Login to Enterprise Manager.
2. Select Maintenance > System Maintenance > Hardware
Monitoring.
3. Select the BMC Network Adapter tab.
4. Set the Address Source from the pull-down list. If you selected Static
assign the IP address, Subnet Mask and Default Gateway. If you
select DHCP no other entry is needed.
