Transmit cable
Connect the Tx cable to the radio transmitter as follows:
Coaxial cables and connectors can corrode if exposed to
moisture. Use only compression type connectors, and
weatherproof them with dielectric grease and weatherproofing
tape.
1. Remove power from the IDU.
2. Fill the Tx cable connector (marked with blue electrical tape)
with dielectric grease.
3. Connect the Tx cable to the transmitter connector marked
IFL, shown in Figure 31.
NOTICE
4. Tighten the cable connector until it is finger-tight, then
tighten an additional 1/4 turn with a 7/16-inch wrench.
5. If necessary, secure the cable with cable ties.
