• Ensure that no liquid or other foreign bodies enter the UPS
system.
Maintenance, servicing, faults
• The UPS system operates with hazardous voltages. Re-
pairs may only be carried out by qualified maintenance
personnel.
• Attention! Risk of electric shock. Even after the unit is dis-
connected from the mains power supply (wall socket),
components inside the UPS system are still connected to
the battery and are still electrically live and dangerous.
Prior to undertaking servicing and maintenance work, iso-
late battery supply circuit and check for isolation.
• The replacement of the batteries is to be undertaken and
supervised by personnel with specialist knowledge of bat-
teries and the necessary safety measures. Personnel with-
out appropriate specialist knowledge are to be kept away
from the batteries.
• Attention! Risk of electric shock. The battery circuit is not
isolated from the input voltage. There can be dangerous
voltages between the battery connections and earth.
• Batteries can cause electric shock and have a high short-
circuit current. Take the precautionary measures specified
below and any other measures necessary when working
with batteries:
- Remove wrist watches, rings or other metallic objects.
- Only use tools with insulated grips and handles.
• When replacing batteries, install the same number and
same type of batteries.
• Do not throw batteries into a fire; they could explode.
• Do not open or damage batteries. The electrolyte released
is harmful for the skin and eyes. It may be toxic.
• Replace the fuse only with a fuse of the same type.
• Do not dismantle the UPS system.
