The battery is recharged in the normal mode. The charging
time varies, it is given in section 11.2.

9.2 Switching on

There are two ways of switching on the UPS:

9.2.1 Normal start (input voltage present)

After connection to an earthed wall socket, press
acoustic signal stops (approx. 3 sec.). The UPS then performs
a self-test and switches to the normal mode once this test has
been completed successfully. The ongoing self-test is indi-
cated by an acoustic warning every second.
The UPS is operating correctly when Line and one of the
status LEDs on the Input and Output menus are illuminated
at the same time. In addition, the load state is indicator on the
scale
.
To test the correct function of the UPS system, the input must
be isolated. For this purpose please trip the fuse in the build-
ing installation.
ATTENTION:
The UPS has a self-start function. This function
automatically starts the inverter after complete
discharge of the battery and return of the input
voltage.

9.2.2 Cold start (power failure)

If no input voltage is present, the UPS can also be started
from the battery independent of the mains. For this purpose
must be pressed until the acoustic signal stops (approx. 3
sec.). The inverter now switches on and the UPS operates in
the battery mode.
The battery mode is indicated by the simultaneous illumination
of Battery as well as one of the status LEDs on the Input and
