50
CAUSE
The freezer compartment door is
open.
The ice bin is not properly
installed.
The dispenser has not been used
for extended periods, causing
the ice cubes to melt together.
The ice dispenser bar has been
held in for too long.
Ice absorbs airborne odours.
Water quality.
Food not properly wrapped.
The ice bin and the freezer
compartment may need
cleaning.
Plumbing to ice maker.
SOLUTION
Close the freezer compartment
door.
Make sure that the bin is pushed
all the way in.
Shake the bin occasionally to
keep cubes separate and to
increase storage capacity.
Throw old ice cubes away and
make a new supply.
Wait about 3 minutes for the
dispenser motor to reset.
Large amounts of ice should be
taken from the bin, not through
the dispenser.
New ice should be made. Throw
old ice away and make new
supply.
Store excess ice in a covered
container.
Water containing minerals may
require a filter.
Wrap food properly.
Clean the ice bin and the
freezer.
Follow instructions for a proper
water supply to ice maker.
The first few batches of ice from
a new ice maker may have an
off-taste. Throw the ice away
and make a new supply.
