Introduction

This guide provides the information you need to
install and configure a Switch 3000 10/100
(3C16942A) with v3.1 agent software. The guide is
intended for use by network administrators who
are responsible for installing and setting up net-
work equipment; consequently, it assumes a basic
working knowledge of Local Area Networks.
If the information in the Release Notes shipped
with your product differs from the information in
this guide, follow the Release Notes.
Throughout this guide, the SuperStack
3000 10/100 is referred to as the Switch 3000
