D Transmitting a SelCall
SelCall allows you to make a call to a specfc staton or to
a partcular group. Other MDC 1200 system transcevers on
the channel wll not receve a SelCall that does not match
ther staton or group ID's.
q Push [MDC Call] to enter the MDC menu selecton mode.
• Or push [MDC SelCall] to enter the transcever alas selecton
mode. In ths case, skp step w.

w Push [MDC Call] agan to enter the transcever alas se-
lecton mode.
e Select the desred alas usng [CH Up] or [CH Down].
r Push and hold [PTT] to transmt the SelCall to the se-
lected staton, then speak nto the mcrophone.

Call Alert allows you to notfy another user who may be away
from the transcever that you want to talk.
q Push [MDC Call] to enter the MDC menu selecton mode.
• Or push [MDC CallAlert] to enter the transcever alas selec-
ton mode. In ths case, skp steps w and e.
w Select "CALALERT" usng [CH Up] or [CH Down].

lecton mode.
r Select the desred alas usng [CH Up] or [CH Down].
t Push [PTT] to transmt the Call Alert to the selected sta-
ton.
• "CA CALL" s dsplayed.
y Release [PTT].
• "CA OK" s dsplayed f the targeted staton receved the alert.
• "CA FAIL" s dsplayed f the targeted staton does not receve
the sgnal or send back an acknowledgement.
u After a specfied tme perod has passed, the transcever
wll return to receve.
