Configuring Motion Detection Settings

You can set up the DVR to trigger one or more of the following alarm responses when motion is
detected in a restricted area:
Video Recording
Full Screen Monitoring
Audio Alarms
Surveillance Center
Notification
Email Notification
Alarm Output
To configure motion detection settings:

Video begins recording on the triggered channel.
The monitor displays full screen video from the triggered channel.
When multiple channels are triggered simultaneously, the images
switch at regular intervals (the default dwell time is 10 seconds).
An audible beep sounds.
A signal is sent to a remote alarm host.

An email containing the event details is sent to one or more
recipients. See

Go to Menu > Camera > Motion.
Select the camera you want to configure motion detection settings for by clicking a
number in the Camera drop-down list.
Select the Enable Motion Detection check box.
The motion detection area (indicated by a red grid) covers the entire screen by default. To
create a smaller motion detection area, click Clear, and then drag the mouse over the area
you want to detect motion in on the preview window.
