Editing Users

You can edit permissions and account details of user accounts that you have created.
To edit a user's permissions:

Go to Menu > Settings > User.
Select from the list of users the user you want to edit permissions for.
Click the Permission button
Set the Local Configuration, Remote Configuration, and Camera Configuration
permissions by selecting or clearing the appropriate check boxes.
Local Configuration
• Local Log Search: Locally search and view logs and system information.
• Local Parameters Settings: Configure parameters, restore factory defaults, and
import/export configuration files.
• Local Advanced Operation: Manage HDD (initialize HDD, set HDD property), upgrade
system firmware, clear I/O alarm output.
• Local Shutdown/Reboot: Shut down or reboot the DVR.
Remote Configuration
• Remote Log Search: Remotely view logs saved on the device.
• Remote Parameters Settings: Remotely configure parameters, restore factory
defaults, and import/export configuration files.
• Remote Serial Port Control: Configure settings for RS-485 port.
• Remote Video Output Control: Send remote control panel signal.
• Two-Way Audio: Effect two-way radio communication between remote client and DVR.
• Remote Alarm Control: Remotely arm alarms and control alarm output.
• Remote Advanced Operation: Remotely manage HDD (initialize HDD, set HDD
property), upgrade system firmware, clear I/O alarm output.
• Remote Shutdown/Reboot: Remotely shut down or reboot the DVR.
