Entering the Prefix for Dialling Out to the Data Centre
You can tell the DM50 Series if you need to dial a prefix number (like
9) to get an outside line when dialling out to the Data Centre.
1. Press Options.
2. Use the Review ▲▼ keys to scroll to "Change Setup?", then
press Enter/yes to confirm.
3. Use the Review ▲▼ keys to scroll to "Change communication
settings?", then press Enter/yes to confirm.
4. Use the Review ▲▼ keys to scroll to "Change outside line
number (prefix)?", then press Enter/yes to confirm.
5. Key in the outside line (prefix). A confirming message displays.
6. When finished, follow prompts to return to the Home screen.
Selecting Tone/Pulse for Dialling Out to the
Data Centre
You can tell the DM50 Series if your exchange/telephone system
uses tone or pulse type dialling. The vast majority of telephone
systems now use tone dialling.
1. Press Options.
2. Use the Review ▲▼ keys to scroll to "Change Setup?", then
press Enter/yes to confirm.
3. Use the Review ▲▼ keys to scroll ato "Change communication
settings?", then press Enter/yes to confirm.
4. Use the Review ▲▼ keys to scroll to "Change dial method?",
then press Enter/yes to confirm.
5. Use the Review ▲▼ keys to select the dialling method (tone or
pulse), then press Enter/yes to confirm. A confirming message
displays.
6. When finished, follow prompts to return to the Home screen.
