Keep the packaging for your IMPRESSA. It should be used to protect
the machine during transportation.
In order to protect the IMPRESSA from frost during transportation,
the system must be emptied.
Precondition:
READY
T Carefully pull the frother off the Connector System
T Place a container under the Connector System
ü T Press the milk foam button.
HEATING
appears as soon as the IMPRESSA has heated up.
READY
ü T Press the milk foam button once more.
, steam is discharged from the Connector System

g T Turn the Rotary Switch until
T Remove the water tank and empty it.
Steam is discharged until
Q T Press the On/Off button to switch the machine off.
3 T Turn your IMPRESSA off at the power switch.
The next time you use the machine the system must be

refilled (see Chapter 2, 'Preparing and using for the first
time – First-time use').
Please dispose of old machines in an environmentally neutral way.
Old machines contain valuable materials capable of being recycled
which should be salvaged for recycling. Please therefore dispose of
old machines via suitable collection systems.
