TEMPERATURE PROBE CONNECTION (RTD)

On the Caddy Alterna, a RTD has to be installed on the side of the appliance using the support provided (two holes
are pre-drilled on the edge of the furnace). The RTD has to be connected to the PC board #2. The RTD is a sensor
(probe type) that reads the temperature inside the hot air plenum. Refer to electric diagram for connection details.
It is important that the RTD and the RTD support be properly fixed onto the plenum.

ELECTRICAL ELEMENT CONNECTION

The following instructions do not supersede the local code.
The electrical element must be connected to the PC board #2 (see WIRING DIAGRAM). For security reasons, the
electrical element has a manual reset thermostatic sensor that is located inside the electrical unit. If the temperature
of the electric unit exceeds the high limit, the thermostatic sensor will disengage the elements. To reactivate, press
the red "manual reset" button on the thermostatic sensor (L-170 thermodisc) after finding and fixing the problem that
has caused the unit to overheat (static pressure too high, fan breakdown, etc.)
