Modular L3 Ethernet Switch User's Guide
The Port Mirroring window displays the following fields:
Mirrored Port – Defines the port number from which all outgoing and incoming
traffic is copied. The possible values are:
list. If selected, traffic is mirrored from that port only.
Copy Port – Defines the port number to which all outgoing and incoming traffic
is mirrored. A copy port cannot mirror itself, be a member of a VLAN, or be
configured with an IP or IPX interface. The possible values are:
list. If selected traffic is mirrored to that port only.
Note:
Port mirroring may cause network congestion. This may result in the dropping of packets
that are being mirrored to the copy port due to lack of network resources.
To enable port mirroring on a device:
1.
Display the Port Mirroring window.
2.
Complete the fields. The fields are the same as the Port Mirroring window as described
above.
