Handy Dialing Functions
Chain Dial
This allows you to compose a tele-
phone number from various parts,
some of which may be stored in
Quick Dials and some of which may
be entered using the number keys.
Note
❒ Maximum length of a telephone or
fax number: 254 digits
❒ For Memory Transmission and Im-
mediate Transmission, insert a
pause between parts of a number.
For On Hook Dial and Manual Di-
al, no pause is needed.

Assume that 01133 is stored in Quick
Dial key.
A
Place the original, and then select
any scan settings you require.
B
Press the Quick Dial key which is
programmed "01133".
Press the { { { { Pause/Redial} } } } key.

Enter { { { { 1} } } } , { { { { 5} } } } , { { { { 5} } } } , { { { { 5} } } } , { { { { 3} } } } , { { { { 3} } } } ,
D
{ { { { 3} } } } with the number keys.
Press the { { { { Start} } } } key.
E
Redial
The machine memorizes the last 10
destinations that have been dialed. If
you wish to send a message to a des-
tination which you sent faxes recent-
ly, the Redial function saves you time
by finding and entering the number
again.
Limitation
❒ The following kinds of destina-
tions are not memorized:
• Quick Dials
• Group Dials
• Destinations dialed by a Pro-
gram
• Destinations dialed as End Re-
ceivers for Transfer Request
• Forwarding terminal of the Sub-
stitute Reception
• Destinations dialed using the
external telephone or optional
handset keypad
• Destinations dialed by Redial
(regarded as already stored in
memory)
• Second and later destinations
broadcasted
❒ Do not dial any numbers before
you press the { { { { Pause/Redial} } } } key. If
you press the { { { { Pause/Redial} } } } key af-
ter entering numbers using the
number keys, a pause will be en-
tered instead.
