Rear occupants not wearing a Seat
Belt
I t i s a l s o i m p o r t a n t t h a t r e a r s e a t
occupants fasten their seat belts as they
will otherwise be thrown through the
vehicle in an uncontrolled manner in the
e v e n t o f a n a c c i d e n t . A r e a r s e a t
passenger who has not fastened the seat
belt is a danger not only to himself but
also to those seated at the front.

WARNING
• Seat belts should be adjusted as
firmly as possible, consistent with
comfort, to provide the protection
for which they have been designed.
Slack in the belt greatly reduces the
purpose of the belt.
• Care should be taken to avoid
contamination of the webbing with
p o l i s h e s , o i l s a n d c h e m i c a l s .
Cleaning should be carried out
using mild soap and water only.
• The belt should be replaced if
w e b b i n g
b e c o m e s
contaminated, or damaged.
• Using a damaged seat belt is
d a n g e r o u s . A n a c c i d e n t c o u l d
d a m a g e t h e b e l t w e b b i n g . T h e
damaged seat belt cannot provide
proper protection during a collision.
Contact a Mahindra Authorised
Dealer to inspect the seat belt
system after an accident before they
can be used again.
• Belts should not be worn with
t w i s t e d s t r a p s . E a c h s e a t b e l t
assembly must only be used by one
occupant. It is dangerous to put a
belt around a child being carried on
t h e
o c c u p a n t ' s
modifications or additions should
be made by the user, which either
prevents the seat belt adjusting
devices from operating to remove
s l a c k o r p r e v e n t t h e s e a t b e l t
assembly from being adjusted to
remove slack. Belt retraction may
become difficult if the belts and
rings are soiled. Ensure they are
f r a y e d ,
always clean.
• Replace the damaged seat belts
after an accident. If not replaced, it
will increase the level of injury
during the next collision. Failure to
comply can lead to major injury or
