Starting and Driving

Before Starting

Follow the below mentioned checks and
adjustments before starting the vehicle.
1. Check the steering wheel and seat
adjustment
2. Make sure all windows, mirrors and
outside lights are clean. Remove
dust, frost, snow or ice
3. Visually inspect inflation pressures
and condition of tyres
4. Make sure the bonnet is fully closed.
5. Check the gauges and indicators in
the instrument panel
6. Look under the vehicle for any sign
of leakages
7. Make sure the doors and the tailgate
are securely closed and locked
8. Fasten your seat belt. Check that
your passengers have fastened their
seat belts
9. If you plan to take a reverse, make
sure that there is no obstacle or
people in your way

Ignition Key Positions

1. LOCK
The steering wheel locks to protect
against theft
2. ACC (Accessories)
The steering wheel is unlocked and
activates the electrical accessories
3. Ignition ON
In this position all electrical circuits are
e n a b l e d . S o m e o f t h e w a r n i n g o r
information lamps will come ON

DRIVING AND OPERATION

4. START
This position starts the engine. As soon
as the engine is started, release the key.
It automatically returns to the ON position.
WARNING
Once the steering lock is engaged, it
is not possible to steer the vehicle.
Do not remove the key while the
vehicle is in motion.
