transmission
• When downshifting from fifth (5)
gear to fourth (4) gear, caution
should be taken not to inadvertently
press the gearshift lever sideways
in such a manner that the second (2)
gear is engaged. Such a drastic
downshift may cause the engine
speed to increase to the point that
the tachometer will enter the red
zone. Such over revving of the
engine may possibly cause engine
damage. Fully depress the clutch
pedal before shifting to prevent
transmission damage
WARNING
Shifting down while driving on wet,
snowy, or frozen roads, or driving at
high speeds causes sudden engine
braking, which is dangerous. The
sudden change in tyre speed could
cause the tyres to skid. Failure to
comply can lead to loss of vehicle
control and an accident.
