Guidelines on Driving

Take the following friendly notes as a guideline for driving
& enjoy the journey. Every normal precautions should be
observed during driving the vehicle.

Hints to driver

Ensure oil, collant, fuel, fluid levels and carry out other
daily checks (e.g. tyre pressures, bulbs)
Make sure that hand brake lever is moved to OFF position
before moving.
After completing the "running - in" (approx. 1000 kms),
operate in uniform speed as much as possible for getting
improved fuel KMPL & to prevent potential failures.
From time to time keep an eye on the gauges. If any
abnormality is noticed, stop the vehicle for safety &
check.
Frequent eye on the dash board is essential to monitor
the functioning of various systems.
While parking in down gradient, engage the gear shift
lever in reverse position with hand brake on.
Do not add cold water to the hot engine (leads to crack
in engine components).

Be aware of the maintenance needs of the vehicle.
Do not operate starter for more than 15 seconds at a
time (give some time lapse before trying again).
Filling the diesel tank at the end of each day will reduce
water condensation in the tank.
Avoid clutch pedal ride as it leads, to premature wear
of clutch plates & consequently clutch slips.
While washing, ensure water does not enter in to air
cleaner or electrical parts.
Familiarise with the hand tools.
Familiarise with legal requirements governing the use of
your vehicle.
