3.5 The notes about the importing and the automatic
registration procedures of the REMCS settings
The following notes are about the importing and the automatic registration procedures of the REMCS
settings along with the support of the SMTP over SSL connection with PRIMEQUEST 2000.
1) Environment Setup Assist Tool (REMCS ESAT at the following), REMCS ESAT must be the latest
version.
2) When you execute the automatic registration in the PRIMEQUEST 1000 that does not support SMTP
over SSL(*), you must use the environment information file with the setting of "Type of encrypted
connection" is "None".
The following environment information file is available.
-
The setup file exported from PRIMEQUEST 1000 that does not support SMTP over SSL.
-
The setup file exported from PRIMEQUEST 2000 that support SMTP over SSL with the setting
of "Type of encrypted connection" is "None".
-
The REMCS version is more than REMCS ESAT V0302, and its setup file with setting of "Type
of encrypted connection" is "None".
*SMTP over SSL is not supported: The devices that cannot use SMTP over SSL for the following
reasons.

SMTP over SSL is implemented.
-
The setting of "Type of encrypted connection" is "None".
-
"Type of encrypted connection" cannot be changed by GUI.
3) The automatic registration cannot be used as the following PRIMEQUEST 2000.
-
The setting of "Type of encrypted connection" is changed from "STARTTLS" or "SSL/TLS" to
"None".
In the above case, please execute as the followings.
-
Import the REMCS environment information file.
-
Change the setting of "Type of encrypted connection" to "None".
-
Execute the registration.
