Hold
the camshaft stationary (at
hex on
camshaft)

loosening

tightening the camshaft sprocket
mounting bolts.
9.
Turn engine
over one complete
revolution.
Loosen

maining bolls
on camshaft sprockets
.
10.
Turn
engine
over to TOG
again.
Hold crankshaft
and
camshafts
at TOG
position
using BMW
special
tools,

tools with
letter
A
on exhaust side
and letter
E
on
intake
side.
CAUTlON
-
The camshafts must be
locked in
the
TOC
posi-
tion
at
the rear
of the
camshafts.
The
arrows
on
the
sprockets should not
be used
to
set
the
engine
atTDC.
