INTRODUCTION
Your AT30 Microprocessor-controlled Float Battery Charger features
provisions for an optional Communications Module which allows user's to remotely
monitor and control the charger over a serial connection. This option supports DNP3
Level 2 and Modbus protocols over RS-232 or RS-485 half-duplex. With this option
installed, industry-standard SCADA (Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition)
systems will be able to control, monitor, and log the events of the AT30. Using the
Communications Module option, all features of the AT30 front instrument panel are
accessible remotely.
Installed within an AT30, the AT Series Communications Module (option p/n
EJ5037-0#), includes a Communications PC Board (A12) and a dc power supply
resistor (R29). A special AT Series Communications Module Operating Instructions
(JA0102-04) and field installation instructions (JD5008-00), are also provided for
user support. A field retrofit kit (p/n EJ5037-1#) for the AT Series Communications
Module is also available for installed AT10.1 units already in use.
An Ethernet Gateway accessory for AT Series Communication is available for
either Modbus or DNP Level 2. Also available is a fiber optic modem kit, or an
industry-standard 56Kbps V.92 modem with interconnection cable. Contact your sales
