Horizontal binning

In horizontal binning adjacent horizontal pixels in a line are combined in
pairs.
2 x horizontal binning: 2 pixel signals from 2 horizontal neighboring pixels
are combined.
This means that in horizontal binning the light sensitivity of the camera is
also increased by a factor of two (6 dB). Signal to noise separation
improves by approx. 3 dB. Horizontal resolution is lowered, depending on the
model.

By default and without further remapping use Format_7 Mode_1 for
2 x horizontal binning.

Note
The image appears horizontally compressed in this mode
and does no longer show true aspect ratio.
If horizontal binning is activated the image may appear to
be over-exposed and must eventually be corrected.
