5.4.5 Cylinder head cover – Removal and installation
Preconditions
☑ Engine is stopped and starting disabled.

Gasket
Removing cylinder head cover
1. Clean very dirty cylinder head covers (1)
prior to removal.
2. Remove spark plug connector (→ Page 54).
3. Unscrew screws (2).
4. Remove cylinder head cover with gasket
from cylinder head.
Installing cylinder head cover
1. Clean mounting surface.
2. Check condition of gasket, replace if damaged.
3. Position gasket and cylinder head cover (1) on cylinder head.
4. Insert screws (2) in cylinder head cover and tighten them.
Note: The locking plate must be removed from the cylinder head cover.
5. Install spark plug connector (→ Page 54).
