Installing External Cache Memory

CAUTION
Installing external cache memory incorrectly might cause the computer to malfunction.
The CELEBRIS Pentium computer is equipped with a 5V dc or 3.3V dc 256 KB external cache module. A
512 KB external cache module option is available to improve the performance of the installed CPU.
Future CPU upgrades might also require an external cache module upgrade.
NOTE
If you install a higher performance CPU, a 3.3V dc external cache module might be
required and comes with the CPU upgrade kit.
To install the cache module:
1)
Turn off the computer.
2)
Disconnect external devices, ac power, and monitor power.
3)
Unlock and remove cover.
4)
Remove external cache from anti-static bag, and install it in socket.
5)
Replace and lock cover.
6)
Connect external devices and restore power.
7)
If necessary, run BIOS Setup utility and enable external cache option.
