Loading the Media Tray

For information about approved media, refer to
chapter 2, "Using Media," in the User's Guide .

Pull out the media tray and remove
the shipping spacers.

The illustration shows an
upper media tray; however,
instructions are the same for
the high-capacity input feeder
(HCIF) trays.

Using two hands, lift the media tray
slightly to remove it from the printer
and place it on a flat surface.

Adjust the two side media guides.

Gently lift the end media guide and
position it in the proper media size
hole.

The tray image is shown in
reverse of the illustration in
step 4.
Attention
If the guide is not in the proper hole, automatic paper size detection
will not work.
