Alignment of LCD Monitors

Starting Manual Measurement

For a manual measurement select the MEASURE MENU from the AUTO COLOR MENU with the UP and
DOWN keys and start the menu step with the PLUS (V+) key.
The MEASURE MENU shows following operational steps:
Auto Color
Probe Setup
Calibrate
Brightness
Measure
Status
x
y
Y cd/m 2
Whitepoint x
Whitepoint y
User Gamma
When MEASURE is enabled a little window appears and displays the measured values for x, y and Y.
This corresponds to the coordinates in the CIE1931 color space (horseshoe) and luminance.
The value window keeps visible until the MEASURE feature is switched off by triggering STOP in the
MEASURE menu. This allows to open the menu for brightness or the backlight to do some individually
alignments.
Close and save this menu step by pushing the MENU key once.

Note: Any calibration should be done in a dark environment ( ~8 cd/m
the ITU, SMPTE or EBU recommendations.
Note: The MEASURE menu stops immediately when no probe is connected to the monitor
and indicates „ERROR" in the status field!
The OSD reacts slowly to commands, cause the system is searching for a probe!
Note: The MEASURE window will be still visible, even when the OSD menu is switched off,
until the measure feature is definitely finished.
