2. Touchscreen does not respond to touch

t he w atts di splay. Watts s hould r ead s omething other t han 0. I f not , t his i ndicates that the c onsole i s
not r eceiving an R PM s ignal f rom t he c ontroller. F ollow t he t roubleshooting steps f or ' No R PM s ignal'.
If the watts are correct, the console is defective and should be replaced.

3. Tactile buttons do not respond

a . C heck a ll the but tons by pr essing e ach one, a nd not icing whether or not t he but ton ' snaps'
when pressed. If a button is found that does not snap, the console should be replaced. Else, proceed to b.
b. I f pos sible, get t he c onsole i nto a pr ogram, e ither by pr essing ' start' t o e nter a qui ck s tart pr ogram, or
t h r o u g h o n e o f t h e 6 p r e-d e fin e d p r o g r am b u t to n s t h a t r u n a cro s s t h e t o p o f t h e b u t to n a rea.
C rank t he m achine and not e t he w atts di splay, w hich s hould not be 0. I f i t i s 0, t hat indicates the c onsole
i s not r eceiving an R PM s ignal – F ollow t roubleshooting steps f or ' No R PM s ignal'. I f t he w atts r eading
is not 0, the console should be replaced.

4. Stride length is too short (.3")

a. Follow troubleshooting steps for 'No RPM signal'.
5. When operated, steps per minute (SPM) is 0, stride is 0, watts reading is reasonable for the set
r esistance level
a . This i ndicates that the c onsole i s not r eceiving the s tep s ensor s ignal. C heck t he s pacing/placement of
the step sensor (SEE STEP COUNTER SENSOR CABLE PAGES 68-69). If step sensor placement is
good, check electrical connection between step sensor cable, mid-step counter cable and the console.

6. No resistance

a . C heck t he c onnection of t he c ommunication cable that pl ugs i nto P 6 on t he l ower c ontroller board,
a nd t o P 6 on t he ba ck of t he c onsole ( The c onsole w ill ha ve t o be r emoved to c heck t he c onnection).
c onnections by unpl ugging a nd r econnecting the c able. The c onnector should s nap w hen pl ugged i n
R eattach the c onsole a nd t est f or r esistance by e ntering a w orkout pr ogram. I f s till no r esistance,
proceed to b.
b. I ncorrect watt m ultiplier setting - C heck t his s etting in " Set-Up M ode" f unction (SEE " Watt Scalar"
c ategory). If t he s etting is not 1, r eset i t t o 1 a nd t est t he m achine by e ntering a w orkout pr ogram. I f
still no resistance, proceed to c.
