Replacing the DS4100 CRUs

Use the following procedures to replace the CRUs in the DS4100 after installation.
Front of Rack
adhesive tape. Remove and discard the wingnuts or the adhesive tape. The
bezel should remain attached to the DS4100 chassis.
Attention:
The bottom cross member of the bezel has a tab that must fit
beneath the DS4100 chassis and snap into place. The top cross member of the
bezel has a recess that must be mated with a metal tab on the bottom of the
DS4100 chassis.
a. Align the front mounting holes on each side of the storage server with the
mounting holes on the front of the support rails.
b. Install the bezel.
c. Insert an M6 screw into the mounting hole on both sides of the front of the
unit (see Figure 9 on page 21). Gently tighten the screws to secure the
bezel and the front of the DS4100 to both of the front cabinet rails.
Attention:
Do not overtighten. If you overtighten these screws, you could
break the bezel.
d. From the back of the rack cabinet, insert the two 6/32 in. screws ( 5 in
Figure 12 on page 24), one on each side, in the holes located on the tab on
each side of the unit. Tighten the screws.
v If you did remove the DS4100 CRUs before installation (as described in
"Removing the CRUs" on page 25), continue with "Replacing the DS4100
CRUs."
v If you did not find it necessary to remove the DS4100 CRUs before
installation, continue with "Setting the interface options" on page 32.
