Avaya 3900 Series Digital Deskphone general description

Secondary DN dialing with Directories

This feature introduces the ability to dial out on secondary DNs when using the Personal
Directory, Call Log, Redial List, and Corporate Directory Application.

Personal Directory, Call Log, and Redial

If there is a call on a primary DN, or the set is configured as an ACD Call Center telephone,
use the following procedures to dial out on the secondary DN.

3904 Digital Deskphone
1. Press the Directory/Log Key, select the Personal Directory, and select the entry.
2. Press the secondary DN key and then the dial soft key.

3905 Digital Deskphone
1. Press the Dir/Log key or the Callers or Redial List and select the entry.
2. Press the dial soft key.
3. Press a secondary DN key, press "OK", and press the dial soft key again.

Corporate Directory

If there is a call on a primary DN, or the set is configured as an ACD Call Center telephone,
use the following procedures to dial out on the secondary DN.

The Avaya 3904 dials the number.
If you press the dial soft key prior to pressing the secondary DN key, the Avaya
3904 displays "Unable to Dial - Busy Primary Line".
The Avaya 3905 displays "Select Free Line". Your site must be on MSL15 (or higher)
and the patch ID DMX12 applied.
The Avaya 3905 dials the number.
If your site is not yet on MSL15, the Avaay 3905 Digital Deskphone will not display
the message; however, you use the same steps to dial the number.
