Changing the Firewall Settings Before Installing Your Printer

You may need to change the firewall settings before installing the printer software. Contact your
network administrator for more information.
The following procedure uses Windows 7 as an example.

Insert the Software Pack CD-ROM into your computer.

Click Start Control Panel.

Click System and Security.

Click Allow a program through Windows Firewall.

Click Change settings.

Click Allow another program.

Click Browse.

Enter "D:\setup.exe" (in case your optical disk drive is D) in the File name text box, and then
click Open.

Click Add.

Click OK.
