Cabling an ATAPI Tape Drive or Other ATAPI Device

To cable an optional ATAPI tape drive:
1. Install the tape drive into the removable media bay next to the CD-ROM drive by
following steps 1 through 5 under "Installing a Tape Drive or Other Removable
Media Device" in Chapter 3.
2. Connect the existing ATA cable to the IDE (ATAPI) connector on the system
board (1). Refer to "System Board Components" in Chapter 1 for the location of
the IDE connector.
3. Secure the cable connector labeled Device 1 to the tape drive (2) and the cable
connector labeled Device 0 to the CD-ROM drive (3).

4. Secure the next available power connector to the tape drive.
