Replacing the Battery

If the server no longer automatically displays the correct date and time, you may need
to replace the battery that provides power to the real-time clock. When replacing a
battery, use a CR2032 three-volt lithium coin cell battery.
To replace the battery:
1. Follow the steps in "Removing the Access Panel" in this chapter.
2. Locate the battery on the system board. Refer to Figure 3-34 for the location of
the battery.
NOTE: If you have expansion boards installed, it may be necessary to remove them to gain
access to the battery. Refer to "Installing an Expansion Board" in this chapter for details.
