Troubleshooting

Network printing

If network printing cannot be performed, check for the following.
Problem

Did the machine re-
ceive the print job?
2
Is there a response
from pinging sent
from the computer to
the controller?

Scan to E-mail

Problem
Transmission is not
possible.
IC-206
Cause
Yes
A machine error (out of pa-
per, out of toner, etc.) oc-
curred.
No
The data has not been re-
ceived.
Yes
The print destination port
setting is incorrect.
The computer is temporar-
ily malfunctioning.
The printer driver is not in-
stalled correctly.
No
The machine is temporarily
malfunctioning.
The network cable is dis-
connected or the relay de-
vice is faulty.
The IP address and/or sub-
net mask is incorrectly
specified.
Cause
The connections are incor-
rect.
The settings necessary for
the device are not regis-
tered.
The LAN cable is damaged.
Remedy
Check the machine status
and correct the error.
Continue with 2.
Specify the correct port.
Restart the computer.
Follow the procedure to
correctly uninstall, then re-
install the printer driver.
Restart the machine.
Correctly connect the ca-
ble, or restart or replace the
relay device.
Specify the correct IP ad-
dress and subnet mask.
Remedy
Check the indicators on the
hub and check the connec-
tions.
Specify the necessary net-
work settings.
Replace the LAN cable.
