7.3 Changing the Name of the Switch

When the administrator first logs into the WS2000 Network Management System, the System Settings
screen appears. One of the fields in this screen is the System Name field. In this field, the administrator can
specify the name of the switch. This name is used to distinguish the switch from others that are on the
network and it is also used to set the device name in SNMP.
To examine and change the current name for the switch:
1. Select
[System Configuration]
2. Find the
System Name
3. Select the
Apply

7.4 Changing the Location and Country Settings of the WS2000

When the administrator first logs into the WS2000 Network Management System, the System Settings
screen appears. One of the fields in this screen is the Country field. This field is set to the country in which
the switch is installed. Setting this field appropriately ensures compliance with national and local laws
concerning electromagnetic emissions and the power level of Access Port radio transmissions.
To examine and change the location setting for the switch:
