ROUBLESHOOTING
Fault description:
Difficulty in Controlling of RS232/RS485 Devices.
1. Verify that the RS cable is correctly inserted according to the pinout in the
RJ-45 RS232/RS485 Connector table.
2. Verify that the number of bits, stop bit, handshake parity and baud rate are
set correctly for the equipment connected.

1. Open the cover of the MediaRacer® 100 unit and verify that
the settings are correct.
2. Verify that the equipment is connected to COM2.
4. Transparent RS: There is no data transfer between devices connected to
various MediaRacer® 100 units in RS Transparent Mode
1. Verify that in the MediaRacer® Link Manager Application
in the RS232 page, the status field displays "Connected".
2. Verify that the RS232 device cable is connected to COM2.
5. There is no display of MediaRacer® Service Software Main Menu using
HyperTerminal.
1. Verify that the setting of the HyperTerminal application
COM port setting values match the Console Setting.
