NSTALLATION
MediaRacer® 100 units may be installed indoors or outdoors, in a dry and clean
environment. The location should allow easy access to the cable channels or ducts. Do not
install MediaRacer® 100 where it may be subjected to extreme vibrations, dust or fumes,
which may damage the unit.
Note: Pay attention to operating environment requirements as defined in the Specifications
section.
Check that the unit supplied includes the following:

Desktop Power Supply
?
RS 232 Configuration Cable for COM 1 port (at least one cable per
package)
?
CD containing MediaRacer® 100 User Manual & MediaRacer® Link
Manager Application.

Mating terminal block for DIO attachment.
When installing the MediaRacer® 100 unit, leave enough space at the front and back of
the unit to allow free air circulation. Clearance of at least 1 ft. (approx. 33 cm) should be
provided behind the unit to allow for easy access of cables.
