Setting Up and Receiving Priority Calls

Follow these steps to use abbreviated dialing:
Before You Begin
Log in to the User Options web page to configure your abbreviated dialing
numbers. For instructions, see the
section on page 6-1 and the
section on page 6-3.
Procedure
Dial a speed-dial index number while your phone is on-hook.
The AbbrDial softkey appears on your phone.
Press the AbbrDial softkey.
The number associated with the abbreviated dialing index number that you
entered is dialed.
You can see the priority, or precedence, level associated with a call by using the
multilevel precedence and preemption (MLPP) feature.
The MLPP feature must be configured by your system administrator. Check with
your system administrator to find out if this feature has been enabled for you.
Precedence is the priority associated with a call. (Higher priority calls are
•
listed at the top of your call list.)
Preemption is the process of ending an existing, lower priority call while
•
allowing a higher priority call to be accepted by the called party.
If you are authorized to use Extension Mobility and MLPP, you can use MLPP on
another phone that is authorized to use the Extension Mobility feature.
