If you use a shared line, you can keep your call information private from users
who share your lines by using the Privacy feature.
The Privacy feature must be configured by your system administrator. Check to
see if this feature has been enabled for your phone.
Then...
Both a Privacy button and a status symbol appear on your

phone. An LED lights to indicate that Privacy is enabled.
Your phone's call status information is removed from all

phones that share lines.

You cannot use barge and other shared line-related features on
your calls from a phone that shares your lines.

The real-time call information is not displayed on your phone,
but the call history (missed, placed, or received calls) is
displayed on phones that share your lines.

Follow these steps to make your call information private on shared lines.
Procedure
Select an incoming call on one of your shared lines.
Press the Privacy button to make the call private.
You can press the Privacy button before or after you answer a call.
