Security Type: Select an appropriate security type for the WDS link, either None, WEP or
TKIP/AES; the type selected needs to be the same as the one configured at the WDS peer.
Site Distance: Fill in the distance from the farthest WDS peer to derive the suggested
values for Slot Time, ACK Timeout, and CTS Timeout.
Slot Time: With the concern of common medium access, Slot Time will allow the station to
learn possible access from other station at the beginning of previous slot. This value
should be equal or less than half of ACK/CTS Timeout.
ACK Timeout: A valid 802.11 data transmission will be acknowledged with suck
"ACK" from the receiving radio or the retransmission will start if such ACK is not received
within Timeout period. This value should be set equal or larger than RTT to the farthest
WDS peer.
CTS Timeout: This CTS acknowledges the previous sent RTS request in 802.11 common
medium access. Its Timeout value can be treated the same as that for ACK Timeout
and should be set equal or larger than RTT to the farthest WDS peer.
